Job Description
Role
- Review and analyze system specifications
- Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
- Evaluate product code according to specifications
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life-cycle
- Communicate and coordinate with the client for smooth release of the product.
- Understand, replicate and resolve issues faced by the client after the product release.
- Create, review and executing test cases
- Maintains version of QA related documents e.g. Test Plan, Test cases, Defect Reports.
- Bridge between lead and group of testing team
- Create and maintain test scripts (Manual and Automation)
- Active participation in Sprint planning
KRA’s - Using associated test data to design and develop test procedures and cases
- Excellent oral/written communication skills with the ability to shape and influence decisions.
- Manually executing the test procedures
- Attending test-procedure walk-through and stand-ups
- Creation & Review of test coverage & impact analysis
- Interact customer & Test Manager/Project Manager for related work
- Participate in defect triage
- Managing test configuration
- Help Lead in Release coordination
- Minimize issues, increase customer confidence and improve stickiness
- Escalation of issues at appropriate level
- Contribute to R&D activities through various lab
- Start identifying risk and help mitigate them to achieve the end goals
- Timely and successful completion of assignments of the module assigned
- Communicating module(s) status/Issues etc, on time and efficiently
- Adherence to the quality process defined for the Product & Projects
- Constantly updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals, accessing new applications and investigating new technologies
- Problem-solving and thinking laterally as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the product
- Contribute in estimation on testing for modules/tasks
- Enhancing and maintaining work culture & environment
Technical Skills and Qualification - Experience in Manual testing which includes Smoke / Sanity , Functional, Regression, Database , Usability testing , GUI testing etc
- Automation testing experience is required (Selenium / Cypress) or any other automation tool
- API / Webservices testing , REST
- Performance testing (good to have )
- Tools: Eclipse, Visual Studio , POSTMAN , JIRA ,
- Database: MS SQL
- Operating systems: Windows Server 2008 and above , Linux
- Basic of unix and shell scripting
- Proficient in one of the programming language and scripting preferably Java / Python / JavaScript
- Good Knowledge of coding best practices, basic programming patterns and frameworks
- Knowledge of cloud platform (AWS) is advantageous
- Knowledge of SDLC , Bug life cycle
- 2 to 3 yrs. Experience
- Qualification: BE/B-Tech /MCA or any equivalent degree
